Context:
Founded in 2001 in Derbyshire’s Peak District, Kelsa Truck Products has grown into Europe’s leading light bar manufacturer, exporting worldwide while keeping production rooted in the UK. A family-run business with strong internal design and minimal marketing, Kelsa built serious brand equity the old-fashioned way: through product quality and visibility on the road. With leadership transitioning to the next generation and long-standing internal design support nearing retirement, the question wasn’t whether to change – it was how much.

Direction:
The word “rebrand” had been mentioned. But this wasn’t a blank canvas. Kelsa’s logo, even at small scale on a moving truck, was instantly recognisable. That kind of equity isn’t replaced. It’s protected. The strategy became refinement over reinvention. Modernise without erasing familiarity. Strengthen the system around the mark rather than chasing something dramatic. Evolution, not disruption.
Raising the bar.

Execution:
We carefully evolved the existing logo, refining proportions and introducing a new typeface aligned with the brand’s future direction. The colour palette was strengthened to feel more confident and contemporary, without abandoning recognisability. Beyond the mark itself, we developed supporting marketing tools, a distinctive instruction manual aesthetic, and guidance for the new website rollout. A brand update that respects what’s already on the road — and prepares it for the miles ahead.
